Gold for Supersonic Wall Panel at the FRAME Awards
A recognition of a different approach to acoustic design, where performance, architecture and circularity are considered from the very beginning.
Akuart’s Supersonic Wall Panel has received Gold at the FRAME Awards, recognising its combination of acoustic performance, architectural design and circular thinking.
At the FRAME Awards, the system was evaluated by an international jury of architects, designers and creative leaders, scoring particularly strongly across functionality, form and eco-social impact.
For Akuart, the recognition is an important acknowledgement of an approach we have pursued for years: creating acoustic solutions that perform technically while belonging naturally within the interior.
Recognised by the FRAME jury
“Not only revolutionary in the industry, this product looks beautiful and is adaptable to trends and time.”
Arnold Swanborn, Design Principal at CO Architects
“Visually beautiful. A palate cleanser. This is an exceptionally brilliant acoustic finish system in both form and functionality.”
TJ Hoover, Creative Director at See You Later
The thinking behind Supersonic
For us, this recognition reflects an idea at the heart of Akuart: that acoustics should be considered as an integral part of the space.
“We have never seen acoustics as something to add once the architecture is finished. Supersonic was designed to belong to the space from the beginning. To see that thinking recognised by FRAME is something we’re very proud of.”
Steffen Spangmose, Head of Product Design at Akuart
“Sustainability becomes meaningful when it can be measured. Supersonic is the result of many small, deliberate decisions around materials, longevity and circularity. Having that recognised alongside form and functionality means a great deal.”
Kasper Sanchez, Head of Sustainability at Akuart
