Imagine. Framed for the future.
Interiors are never truly finished. They evolve. And the art within them evolves too.
Imagine has been reengineered around that idea.
The concept remains the same: bringing art and acoustic performance together in one object. But Imagine has now been redesigned from within, introducing a new solid oak frame, a construction designed for disassembly, replaceable acoustic elements, an expanded world of curated art and a Digital Product Passport.
The result is a new generation of Imagine, one designed not only for the interior of today, but for how that interior might change over time. Its distinctive solid oak frame brings warmth and tactility, while the redesigned construction allows artistic expression to evolve, components to be replaced and valuable materials to remain in use for longer. A Digital Product Passport adds another layer of transparency, connecting the physical product with relevant information throughout its lifecycle.
A gallery, not a collection.
The reengineered Imagine also introduces a new way of approaching art.
At its heart is the AKUART Gallery: an extensive and continuously evolving portfolio of art and art photography, curated through collaborations with artists and renowned art print studios.
Moving beyond the limitations of a conventional product collection, the Gallery opens Imagine to a much broader world of artistic expression. Different artists, genres and visual languages offer the freedom to find art that complements the character and atmosphere of an interior, and to choose a different expression when that interior evolves.
The panel becomes the frame. The Gallery becomes the possibility.
Art, reproduced with precision.
While the possibilities for artistic expression have expanded, the relationship between art and acoustics remains central to Imagine. Each selected artwork is reproduced through a high-definition dye-sublimation process, transferring the image directly into the textile with depth, detail and clarity.
The textile is then seamlessly bonded to the acoustic absorber, creating one precise, integrated acoustic element with the character of an art piece rather than a conventional acoustic panel.
Reengineered to evolve.
One of the most significant changes to Imagine is found behind the artwork.
The product has been redesigned for disassembly. The integrated acoustic element now sits within the solid oak frame, secured by removable wooden crossbars on the back of the panel. By unscrewing the crossbars, the complete acoustic element can be released without damaging or dismantling the frame itself.
The distinction is deliberate: the artwork, textile and absorber form one integrated acoustic element. The solid oak frame is another. By separating these elements, the reengineered Imagine allows them to follow different lifecycles. The oak frame can remain in place while the acoustic element, and with it the artistic expression, can be replaced as the interior evolves.
The idea behind Imagine remains. The way it is built has changed.
A matter of proportion.
The new Imagine is available in six carefully considered formats. Four rectangular and two square formats offer greater flexibility across different artworks, architectural proportions and spatial settings, whether displayed individually or as part of a larger composition. Whatever the format or artistic expression, the principle remains the same: an extensive world of curated art, framed in solid oak and now reengineered to evolve with the interior.
Explore the Gallery. Choose the art. Keep the frame.
