Reservoir is a newly opened Copenhagen venue where bar, kitchen, and cinema merge into one cohesive and layered
going-out experience. Designed to evoke curiosity, comfort, and connection, it offers more than just food and film — it’s a multisensory environment where atmosphere matters. To support this ambition, AKUART was brought in to fine-tune the acoustics of the cinema spaces, ensuring they delivered both immersive sound and refined aesthetics. Using our Supersonic Wall Panels, we helped create a soundscape where every whisper, soundtrack, and silence could be experienced exactly as intended — free from disruptive flutter echoes or reverberation.
In collaboration with interior architect Anders Busk Faarborg of the design studio All That Matters, the acoustic panels were
integrated directly into the interior concept. Rather than hide them, the panels were elevated as part of the visual language of each room. The solution featured artworks by Danish artist Berit Mogensen Lopez, whose expressive shapes and instinctive use of colour were carefully adapted and scaled to match the tone and layout of the three cinema rooms. Each artwork complements the mood and colour palette of its space — turning sound absorption into a visual experience.
“It’s always exciting to see my work take on new dimensions — both in size and in purpose. At Reservoir, the artworks become part of the atmosphere, not just visually but acoustically too. I love how they contribute to the mood and flow of each room.”
– Berit Mogensen Lopez, Artist
In the case of Reservoir, acoustics weren’t an afterthought—they were part of the story. And in the cinema, where every detail counts, the Supersonic Wall Panel helped set the stage for full sensory immersion.
